Trapani, the ancient Drepanum, is a seaboard town with many Arabic influences, live there about 68500 inhabitants. It is located at the Western point of the sicilian island.

Fishing is the main activity, the market of fish is held on the port each morning.
It is also the starting point for the archipelago of Aegadian islands a few kilometers far, for the many more far island of Pantelleria.
