calascibettaCalascibetta has probably an Arabic origin, it would have been founded during the seat of Enna Sarrazins in 951.
In 1087, the Norman Roger I installed there to besiege the Sarrazins installed in Enna.

The city counts about 4800 inhabitants, it is located 2km northern from Enna on an headland.
Its quite streets have many charm.
The Norman tower of the XIth century is coupled with the church Saint Peter. To the north, one can discover a necropolis having several hundreds of tombs dug in the rock.
