At the end of the peak, dominating a vast space between the peak of Agrigento and the sea, the temple of Hera precedes a furnace bridge used for the sacrifices during antiquity.

Built towards the middle of the Vth BC, it is dedicated to the protective goddess of the marriage and wife of Zeus. Probably, the Carthaginians set it in fire in 406 BC, it remains traces about it on some walls.
Some columns were rectified in the XXth century.
